Web shortcut
Keep The D.I. on your phone
It is still the website at onthedi.com — the padlock (HTTPS) encrypts the trip here. That is not the same as a Play Store app. Do not tap Install app on a Galaxy phone. That wraps the site as an unsigned Android package, and Samsung / Play Protect then calls it a virus. Add a home-screen shortcut instead.
Samsung / Galaxy
Add page to Home screen
- Open onthedi.com in Samsung Internet (or Chrome).
- Tap the menu — three lines or three dots.
- Choose Add page to → Home screen. Not Install app, not Download.
- Confirm. The DI tile is a bookmark with our icon — still this website.
If the phone already warned about a virus, delete that icon, then add the shortcut this way. HTTPS is already on. The scare was the fake package, not the site.
iPhone & iPad
Safari, then Share
- Open onthedi.com in Safari (not Chrome, not Instagram’s browser).
- Tap Share at the bottom.
- Scroll to Add to Home Screen, then Add.
The DI tile sits next to your other apps. Tap it and you are in the index — no address bar.
Other Android
Chrome, then Add to Home screen
- Open onthedi.com in Chrome.
- Tap the menu (three dots).
- Choose Add to Home screen. Skip Install app if both appear.
A shortcut is a bookmark. Install app is an Android package Play Protect has never seen — that is the warning, not a real virus on this desk.
Long-press the icon later to jump straight to Search, Originals, or Bargains.
